‘The Flash’ Could Be Losing A Major Character After Season 5

Fans who dedicate their time and effort to follow a TV series for years always have to worry about one thing: fan-favorite characters leaving the show. Whether it’s being killed off or written out of the series, unfortunately, cast and character changes are a common theme with series that run for multiple years; these major cast changes can even extend to the core main cast members of the series. It seems a major character could be leaving The Flash after season five.

According to the folks over at We Got This Covered, the fan favorite Cisco Ramon/Vibe, portrayed by Carlos Valdes, may be exiting The Flash after the fifth season (queue the sad music).

Cisco has been a core ‘Team Flash’ member since the start of the series and a staple in the shared Arrowverse for years. In the series, the character of Cisco has evolved quite a lot over the years, starting off as the tech-savvy genius and evolving into a hero in his own right, Vibe, with metahuman-powers and his own decked-out superhero suit. Even with the major changes over the years to the character, it sounds as if Carlos Valdes is looking to exit the series to focus on other projects.

For those that didn’t know, Carlos Valdes actually has quite a few other professional accomplishments apart from The Flash. Valdes has accolades in live-theatre with roles including productions of High School Musical and Jersey Boys. He also is an accomplished musician playing a multitude of instruments for the musical, Once, that ultimately led to a Tony Award nomination. So should Valdes look to leave The Flash, there’s no doubt he has a few other professional avenues to head down.

But what do you think? Will they look to simply kill off Cisco, will he be written out, or will they give him a true hero’s send-off and have him save the day somehow which will lead to his demise? Let us know in the comments below!

Matching wits with The Thinker, who by season’s end had harnessed the powers of all twelve bus metas he created, stretched Team Flash to their limits, but with the help of some new allies, Barry Allen (aka The Flash) and company were able to put a stop to the Enlightenment and save Central City once again. However, with the arrival of Barry and Iris’ speedster daughter, Nora, who arrived from the future admitting to having made a “big mistake,” things are anything but status quo. Will parenthood be the challenge that finally slows The Flash down?

The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen / Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow / Killer Frost, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon / Vibe, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison “Sherloque” Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Joe West, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton, Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny / Elongated Man, Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora West-Allen, and Chris Klein as Cicada.

The Flash airs on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. on The CW.
