During an interview for the second installment of the Fantastic Beasts franchise, titled The Crimes of Grindelwald, Ezra Miller was asked about The Flash solo film and where it stands as far as completion.
A snippet of the interview was uploaded to Twitter by @FlashsoloNews today where Ezra Miller explained the current status of his feature film and explains why it has been delayed for so long.

Justice League‘s Ezra Miller begins by jokingly saying that The Flash‘s production schedule is working on his character Barry Allen’s time.
“He’s always late, but when he arrives he gets stuff done!”
Miller continues on to say that the film’s crew, as well as himself, not only wants to make a great superhero film, but they plan to give the DC fans a real gift.
“We’ve hit a couple points in the scripts development, but we looked at it and gone.. this isn’t it.”
Ezra Miller says the focus is on creating a “beautiful offering” to all fans, but a “super gift” to all DC fans. You can tell that whatever it is that they are planning is going to be a great spectacle to watch and we can’t wait to bring you all the details as we learn them so stay tuned!

A standalone Joker film set outside of the DC Films universe starring Joaquin Phoenix as the Clown Prince of Crime is also set to hit theaters October 4, 2019.
