’The Flash’: Flashpoint Will Give Barry New Memories

The Flash

At the end of Season 2 of CW’s The Flash, we saw Barry Allen go back in time to save his mom from being killed, but by doing so, he will change the bigger history of his personal universe as well as the whole DC TV Universe on The CW, which is the beginning of the famous DC Comics storyline, Flashpoint, which is now being adapted onto the show.

In the recent edition of Entertainment Weekly’s Spoiler Room, a fan asked more about the Flashpoint storyline and what changes we will see on Barry as a character as he goes through this universe change. Natalie Abrams gave this following tease from Grant Gustin himself about what we will see.

“In the Flashpoint timeline, we’ll find Barry truly appreciating the opportunity to spend quality time with his now-dead parents, but it won’t be long before he faces the consequences of tinkering with time. “He’s starting to have new memories of graduating high school and college, memories he never had with his parents, but those memories are replacing other things from the other timeline,” Grant Gustin teases.”

We have already seen signs of that happening as we saw the debut of the Season 3 trailer last weekend at San Diego Comic-Con where we see the Flashpoint universe with history now changed in Barry’s life. In case you missed that trailer, you can check it out below.

The Flash Season 3 premieres on Tuesday, October 4 at 8/7c on The CW with the premiere appropriately titled “Flashpoint”.
