Last week’s episode of The Flash introduced audiences to the DC Rebirth character Godspeed. Voiced by Jurassic Park and Gotham actor B. D. Wong, Godspeed was the latest comic book speedster to make an appearance on the Grant Gustin series. Joshua Williamson, who co-created Godspeed with artist Carmine Di Giandomenico, took to social media shortly after the episode to share his thoughts on the villain’s debut, and it looks like he’s pretty happy with how the series handled him.
You can check out Williamson’s thoughts on Godspeed’s appearance below.
In The Flash: Rebirth comic book series, Godspeed is the main antagonist and was an old friend of Barry Allen named August Heart before lighting granted him speed force powers. Heart subsequently took on the Godspeed mantle and began fatally draining the powers of other Speedsters, ultimately becoming a serial killer who sought revenge on the one who murdered his brother.
Grant Gustin will be back as The Flash when the show returns next week with the episode “Gone Rogue.” You can read the official synopsis below.
