When DC’s movie centered on The Flash will arrive in theaters still remains a mystery but that won’t stop fans from speculating which villain from The Flash’s rogues gallery will be featured, and what actors will play them.
Thanks to savagecomics on Instagram, we can get an idea for what Smallville alum Michael Rosenbaum, who played Lex Luthor on the hit CW series, would look like in the role of another DC villain. The image imagines Michael Rosenbaum as the villainous speedster Eobard Thawne aka Reverse Flash. Check it out below!
So what do you think? Would you like to see Michael Rosenbaum in the role of Reverse Flash in The Flash movie? Or would you like to see someone else against The Flash? Are there any other DC villains you would like to see the Smallville star take on in the future? Let us know in the comments below!
The Flash movie was originally expected to kick off production this, however, due to development of the script, the project and with Ezra Miller originally scheduled to begin work on the third installment of the Fantastic Beasts franchise in July — which has now been pushed back to the fall — it remains unclear as to when production on the project will get up and running.
Game Night directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are directing The Flash and will also write the script. The film has changed directors several times as the duo replaced director Rick Famuyiwa (Dope) who exited the project over creative differences with the studio. Famuyiwa had been hired to replace Seth Grahame-Smith who penned the original script and also exited due to creative differences. Before that, The Lego Movie directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were attached to direct. Lord and Miller had originally developed the story for the film, however, they left to work on Solo: A Star Wars Story for Lucasfilm. King Arthur: Legend of the Sword writer Joby Harold was the most recent scribe to have previously worked on a draft of the script.
Both Ezra Miller and Kiersey Clemons are committed to star as the titular hero and his love interest Iris West in The Flash movie.
A timetable for the project was never set in stone, however, the production was expected to be in tow following DC’s Shazam!, Wonder Woman 1984, and Todd Phillips’ upcoming standalone Joker movie starring Joaquin Phoenix.
