Screenrant spoke to Parrot Analytics, which is a data company that measures how shows are doing amidst audiences using viewership ratings, demand, and social media, to find out which of the most recent superhero shows did last year but this also includes several older series, mind you. The list goes as follows, with eleven DC shows and nine Marvel shows, from least to most popular:
20. Smallville
19. Krypton
18. Runaways
17. The Punisher
16. Luke Cage
15. The Gifted
14. Teen Titans GO!
13. Jessica Jones
12. Cloak & Dagger
11. Legion
10. Black Lightning
9. Teen Titans
8. Daredevil
7. Legends Of Tomorrow
6. Gotham.
5. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D
4. Arrow
3. Supergirl
2. Titans
1. The Flash.
Surprisingly enough, Smallville still made the cut after the show finished some years ago. That fact speaks of how that show started this superhero TV show trend that is going strong still. Also, it’s great to see an animated superhero TV show like Teen Titans GO! in a list which almost every show was made for a more adult audience. Given the success of its shows, it’s no wonder we find all of the Arrowverse series in the top five of the list, except for Vixen which didn’t make it, unfortunately. With such a strong fan-base, it’s no wonder why DC is developing even more series like Titans, Doom Patrol or Swamp Thing to further capitalize and improve what they’ve done with the Arrowverse.
What do you make of the list? What are your top three favorite superhero series? Comment below!
