As the female lead of The Mandalorian opposite Pedro Pascal’s title character, Gina Carano spent plenty of time on the set of the highly-anticipated Disney Plus series. With the show’s second season, Gina Carano is well into the swing of things as her ex-Rebel shock trooper, Cara Dune.
The former war hero has to adjust to life without the Empire in the the Unknown Regions, as that portion of the Galaxy Far, Far Away is in a state of lawless chaos. Cara Dune has no choice but to take up less savory jobs as she teams up with a Mandalorian with no name to carry out a series of objectives for the sake of profit.

Aside from Pedro Pascal and Gina Carano, the series features a star-studded cast that includes Nick Nolte, Taika Waititi, Giancarlo Esposito, Carl Weathers, Emily Swallow, Werner Herzog, and Ming Na-Wen.
The Mandalorian is set after Return of the Jedi and will explore the Star Wars timeline between the original and sequel trilogies for the first time in live-action. Here’s the official synopsis:
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
The Mandalorian will debut exclusively on Disney Plus, which is set to launch November 12 in the United States and some other regions. The series will be released on a weekly basis, with the first episode of the show being available with the arrival of the streaming service.
