‘The Mandalorian’ Nearly Revisited A Classic Han Solo ‘Star Wars’ Location

The 'Star Wars' series was meant to revisit the scoundrel's hangar.

The first season of The Mandalorian nearly returned to a classic Star Wars location often frequented by Han Solo himself.

Although it’ll be quite some time before The Mandalorian returns to our screens, it’s still fascinating to see all the details carefully built into the world helmed by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. And as revealed by one of the artists on the show, an early moment in the first season would’ve seen the show return to a classic location tied to Han Solo in the original trilogy.

In a post revealed by artist Anton Grandert on Instagram, when The Mandalorian visited Tatooine in the first season, the spaceport was meant to be docking bay 94. Eagle-eyed Star Wars fans will know was the hanger frequented by Han Solo in the original Star Wars trilogy from George Lucas. The series recently made headlines as Gina Carano was fired for writing a number of insensitive and damaging posts online. The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Giancarlo Esposito, Temuera Morrison, Katee Sackhoff, Ming-Na Wen, Bill Burr, Timothy Olyphant, and Carl Weathers, with Rosario Dawson joining the series as Ahsoka Tano ahead of her spin-off series.
