‘The Mandalorian’: Skywalker Saga Characters To Appear In Season 2

A new report claims that prominent characters from The Skywalker Saga will appear in second season of The Mandalorian on Disney Plus.

While fans are still reeling from the dramatic ending to The Mandalorian, Jon Favreau recently revealed that a second season is coming in Fall 2020, with insiders claiming that familiar characters from the Skywalker saga will appear alongside Pedro Pascal’s bounty hunter. The Mandalorian‘s first season features plenty of references to the Skywalker Saga, but it seems like fans should get ready for familiar faces to go head-to-head with the show’s cast.

According to Deadline, insiders claim that “several established characters” from the Skywalker saga will appear in The Mandalorian‘s second season. Given the show’s love of the Star Wars underworld, it’s likely that this could include other popular bounty hunters glimpsed in the films.

The Star Wars series was written by Jon Favreau, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist is also on board as a co-executive producer.

Dave Filoni will direct the first episode of Star Wars series and additional episodes will be helmed by Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, Jurassic World star Bryce Dallas Howard, Dope director Rick Famuyiwa, and Jessica Jones director Deborah Chow.
