‘The Walking Dead’: Carol Will Still Be Dealing With Suicidal Thoughts According To Melissa McBride

Negan isn’t the only threat the characters of The Walking Dead need to worry about, especially when it comes to Carol Peletier. Her biggest enemy might just be herself. During the season 6 finale, Carol’s state of mind was shaky and suicidal. In the The Walking Dead #42 comic, her character went down the same path of questioning life and ultimately ended up feeding herself to a zombie. She had a chance to live as she was found before she was dead, but she chose to die.

According to Carol’s actress Melissa McBride during the Walking Dead NYCC Comic Con panel, her fate may just end up the same in the tv show. According to the actress, it sounds like Carol is still going to be dealing with the process of questioning life. According to McBride:

“Every step she’s taken up to this moment has just devastated her up to this point. What is it about this world that makes us want to survive so much? That’s a huge question.”

That adds to another hint that McBride gave to ComicBook.com just a week ago:

“This is a different season. She’s definitely got some healing to do in her mind and where she wants to be on this earth, or [if] she wants to stick around or what.”

Do you think Carol will choose to commit suicide in the show, like she did in the comics? Make sure to let us know below in the comments.

The Walking Dead returns for a 7th season on October 23rd at 9 pm on AMC.
