First ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Clip Teases Daryl’s Fate

During last night’s The Walking Dead special on AMC, the network released the first clip from the upcoming seventh season of the series. The sneak peek features Dwight (played by Austin Amelio) encountering a bunch of walkers, but that’s pretty much it. Interestingly enough, he’s wearing Daryl’s vest and riding his motorcycle, which has led many fans to believe that Daryl may be the character who died at the hands of Negan.

You can check out the clip below.

The sneak peek is obviously another example of how the show has been teasing the identity of Negan’s victim over the past few months. Now, you may remember that the first trailer for season seven didn’t feature any new shots of the characters who were captured by the Saviors, so Daryl’s fate is still up in the air. However, If I were a betting man, I’d say that he’ll make it out alive, since, you know, he’s one of the most popular characters of the show.

Additionally, Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl, was recently spotted with Jeffrey Dean Morgan in Atlanta, where season seven is currently filming. This means that Daryl is likely still alive, unless Reedus was just visiting his friends on the set of the series. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait much longer to find out who died in the season six finale, since that’s going to be revealed when The Walking Dead returns on October 23.
