‘The Witcher’ Set To Undergo Deep Cleaning After Coronavirus Contraction

The set of Netflix’s hit show, The Witcher is to undergo deep cleaning after season 2 star Kristofer Hivju tested positive for the coronavirus.

Earlier this year, former Game of Thrones actor Kristofer Hivju was confirmed to have been added to the second season of Netflix’s new show, The Witcher. Unfortunately today he revealed that he had tested positive for the coronavirus.  The production for The Witcher had already been suspended earlier today due to the coronavirus but Netflix had decided not to take any chances.

Not long after Kristofer Hivju revealed he had contracted the coronavirus it was discovered by Deadline that Netflix would be conducting a deep cleaning of all of the sets of The Witcher. Furthermore, Netflix also advised all staff members to self-quarantine. In an email to Deadline, Netflix said that production for The Witcher was already shutting down and had nothing to do with Kristofer Hivju testing positive for the coronavirus.
