Some new concept art from the Art of Avengers: Infinity War book shows what could have been a much different journey for Thor during Avengers: Infinity War.
Thor’s adventure to replace his magic hammer Mjolnir with a weapon that could defeat Thanos through the cosmos of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and then to the battle outside Wakanda in dramatic fashion was one of the best parts about Infinity War. His ordeal building Stormbreaker and his time with Rocket were things that will definitely end up in the MCU Hall of Fame one day. But according to the Art of Avengers: Infinity War book, it appears the God of Thunder’s escapades to stop Thanos could have been very different. You can check out the post below.
While this is definitely an intriguing concept which would be nice to get a better understanding of it does mean that key scenes involving Nidavellir and Eitri would not have most likely occurred. This does look like something pretty cool for Thor to be going through but it is probably better the way it ended up. Fans will get to see how Thor uses Stormbreaker as he attempts to stop Thanos for good this time next year in Avengers 4.
