Deadline reports that Iain Glen has joined the second season of the DC Universe series Titans in the recurring role of Bruce Wayne. The trade notes that it’s unclear if Glen will suit up as the Dark Knight as the 57-year-old actor is playing an older version of Wayne.
Here’s the official description for Iain Glen’s Bruce Wayne for Titans season two:
“After decades of fighting crime as Batman, billionaire Bruce Wayne is just as driven to protect Gotham from evil as he was in his prime. Needing to reconcile his relationship with Dick Grayson, the duo hope to forge a new dynamic as Bruce tries to help his former sidekick and the Titans achieve success.”
Iain Glen is best known for his work in the HBO series Game of Thrones. His character Jorah Mormont will return for the highly-anticipated final season of the series, which premieres on Sunday, April 14.
Titans follows a grown-up Dick Grayson working as a Detective in Detroit, having left his nights with the Caped Crusader long in the past due to having fundamental differences with Batman’s methods and approach to crimefighting before becoming the leader of the heroes known as the Titans. Production on the show’s second season is currently underway.
The series stars Brenton Thwaites as Robin, Anna Diop as Starfire, Teagan Croft as Raven, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Alan Ritchson as Hawk and Minka Kelly as Dove.
