‘Titans’: Brenton Thwaites Suits Up As Nightwing With Anna Diop’s Starfire In New Image

Check out Brenton Thwaites as Nightwing as he leaves the Robin mantle behind and teams up with Anna Diop’s Starfire along with the rest of the Titans in this new image.

We’re still ways away from seeing Titans season two and how Brenton Thwaites’ Dick Grayson and Anna Diop’s Starfire will face the demon Trigon in order to save Beast Boy and Raven. Although we still don’t have many details about season two, we know that this time around the Titans led by Brenton Thwaites’ Dick Grayson and Anna Diop’s Starfire will have to face Deathstroke, his son Jericho, his daughter Ravager, and the inclusion of Superboy to boot. We know that several characters like Hawk, Dove, Jason Todd, Cyborg, and Wondergirl are all around the DC Universe but we’re still missing them team-up with these characters. How awesome would it be to see them teaming up against Trigon and Deathstroke?

Well, a digital artist went ahead of us and united all of them in one fantastic image. It puts Brenton Thwaites’ Dick Grayson front and center, not as Robin but instead as his other alter-ego superhero Nightwing along with Anna Diop’s Starfire. Check it out:

Titans slowly showed us that Brenton Thwaites’ Dick Grayson was fed up with Batman and that he no longer wanted to be connected to the Robin persona. In the comics, Dick Grayson drops the mantle of Robin to become Nightwing and fight for Blüdhaven. Brenton Thwaites’ character arc in the first season of Titans sure looks like Nightwing appearing in the second season is a big possibility. Well, Brenton Thwaites’ current look seems to tease Nightwing’s appearance in Titans very soon. Although this might be a longshot, how Brenton Thwaites’ Dick Grayson has developed in the series and how he’s trying to distance himself from Batman, may be an indication of Nightwing appearing in the series. Nightwing is also heavily featured in the Titans comic books, so we have that as background as well.

Anna Diop’s Starfire had a much more confusing character arc, to say the least. Also, fans were not happy about her costume in the series and several others were confounded with Anna Diop’s selection to portray Koriand’r. Even though Anna Diop’s Starfire is the most powerful of all Titans, she’s still not in total control of her powers. To make matters worse, Anna Diop’s Starfire still doesn’t understand where she comes from and Titans season one leaves many questions unanswered for people who aren’t familiar with the Teen Titans. Anna Diop’s Starfire was last seen entering Raven’s house with Donna Troy during the events of the Titans season one finale awaiting a confrontation with the demon Trigon.

What do you think comes next for Brenton Thwaites’ Dick Grayson and Anna Diop’s Starfire? Are you excited for the day when Brenton Thwaites finally suits up as Nightwing? Sound off in the comment section down below!
