Last week, Warner Bros. officially approved Robert Pattinson as the star of The Batman. The casting was later confirmed by the film’s director, Matt Reeves, but three days before that happened, Forbes dropped an article teasing that The Batman may feature the Caped Crusader’s sidekick Robin.
After hearing the news, Titans star Curran Walters took to Twitter to let Matt Reeves know that he’d be down to play Jason Todd in The Batman. Curran Walters portrayed the character in three episodes of Titans season one and is set to return for the show’s sophomore outing, which will premiere on the DC Universe streaming service this fall. Check out his message to The Batman director Matt Reeves below.
The series is also making a few additions for its sophomore outing, with Joshua Orpin and Esai Morales playing Superboy and Deathstroke, respectively. Chella Man and Chelsea T. Zhang have also joined the series as Deathstroke’s children. Furthermore, Game of Thrones star Iain Glen is set to play Bruce Wayne, a.k.a. Batman.
DC Universe’s Titans follows a grown-up Dick Grayson working as a Detective in Detroit, having left his nights with the Caped Crusader long in the past due to having fundamental differences with Batman’s methods and approach to crimefighting before becoming the leader of the heroes known as the Titans.
Titans stars Brenton Thwaites as Robin, Anna Diop as Starfire, Teagan Croft as Raven, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Alan Ritchson as Hawk and Minka Kelly as Dove.
