New ‘Titans’ Promo Teases Starfire’s Origin In The DC Universe Series

Newsweek has released a new Titans promo that spotlights Anna Diop’s Starfire and teases the character’s origin story in the DC Universe series.

DC Universes Titans series will offer a new and evidently darker take on the titular team of heroes and now a new Starfire character promo offers a preview of her origin story in the series, including a moment where she can be seen being strapped to a medical table in a dark facility. In the comics, Starfire is the alien Princess Koriand’r of Tamaran who is tortured and experimented on before escaping to Earth and it appears her television counterpart will suffer the same fate.

The series stars Brenton Thwaites as Richard “Dick” Grayson / Robin, Anna Diop as Koriand’r / Starfire, Teagan Croft as Rachel Roth / Raven, and Ryan Potter as Garfield “Gar” Logan / Beast Boy.
