The Deadpool franchise has had a good run so far, both critically and financially, so much so that the producers are willing to take chances on experiments such as Once Upon a Deadpool, a PG-13 version of Deadpool 2 arriving in theaters this December. In the franchise, Weasel (T.J. Miller) has been a stand-out member of Wade Wilson’s posse.
When Miller was arrested in April for an alleged fake bomb threat, his role in further additions of the franchise, including Deadpool 3 and X-Force, was questioned by fans. Recently, Miller took to Twitter to provide fans with some facts regarding his role in the franchise. First, as you can see in the post below, Miller revealed that he is contracted to do Deadpool 3 but apparently there are no current plans for the threequel.
Miller then clarified why some of the rumors of his departure from the franchise may have begun. He then revealed that he was never supposed to have an appearance in the X-Force movie.
Miller isn’t the only member of the franchise to come under fire. A fan on Twitter recently reminded fellow Deadpool fans that he pitched the story for Once Upon a Deadpool months before Ryan Reynolds reportedly pitched it to the studio. Since then, the dispute was apparently settled between Reynolds and the fan.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Deadpool 3 as soon as more information becomes available. Would you like to see a third installment of the franchise? If so, would you like to see Weasel return? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
