If there’s been one takeaway thus far when it comes to Todd McFarlane’s upcoming Spawn, it’s that he doesn’t want it to be anything similar to what fans and audiences alike expect from the smorgasbord of comic book adaptations we see in the cinema now. And while we know about casting for the project, as well as McFarlane stating in the past that he’s not ruling out a streaming service for the film, production on the film has not officially begun just yet. In fact, the production was pushed back.
However, then Mr. McFarlane took to his Instagram last night to provide a brief update as far as the financial side of things go with the Spawn film. While sure, folks want to see the movie, the project still has to be actually funded by a studio or interested parties. And according to Todd McFarlane, talks about exactly that are beginning to heat up in regards to the Spawn project. In his post, McFarlane stated “Talks are heating up on getting financing for #spawnmovie … stay tuned!!!!! TODD #movies #spawn #jamiefoxx #jeremyrenner.”
Here, have a look at Todd McFarlane’s Instagram post below where he provides the brief update on the financial status of the Spawn film:
Per the “stay tuned” notice, hopefully Todd McFarlane will have an update or more news in the days or weeks to come as to when the Spawn film will be financed.
