Doug Liman Directing Tom Cruise & SpaceX Outer Space Movie

Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman will reportedly direct Tom Cruise in an upcoming film planned to shoot in outer space with Elon Musk’s SpaceX technology.

Tom Cruise is known for pushing the envelope for stunts performed in movies by jumping out of planes, climbing tall buildings, and so much more. Cruise is now planning on filming a movie in outer space with the help of NASA and Elon Musk’s SpaceX technology. The upcoming film led by Cruise will be an action-adventure film with Deadline reporting that the movie star will be reuniting with Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman for the project.

Doug Liman is also well-known for his work on the Bourne films and also directed Tom Cruise in American Hustle. The report goes onto to say that Liman worked with Cruise on the upcoming film’s first draft. In addition to writing and producing, Liman is also on board the upcoming SpaceX movie as a producer alongside Cruise.

After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him.
