Coronavirus Halts Venice, Italy Shoot Of Tom Cruise’s ‘Mission: Impossible 7’

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that the local government has halted the production of Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 7 in Venice, Italy, due to the coronavirus.

Production on Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 7 was scheduled to take place in Venice for weeks before moving to other locations. However, The Hollywood Reporter sources say the increase of reported coronavirus cases in Italy has prompted the local government to halt production on Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 7 in Venice as part of its move to stop all public gatherings.

The outlet notes that it’s hearing that production on Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 7 will likely move the crew to another location or return them to their home countries until they have a better assessment of the situation. THR also notes that it hears reports of Tom Cruise being held up in a hotel are false and that the Mission: Impossible star never even arrived in Italy.

Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the production of Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 7 as it develops.

Written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie, Mission: Impossible 7 stars Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham,  Nicholas Hoult, Vanessa Kirby, and Henry Czerny.

Mission: Impossible 7 is scheduled to be released in theaters on  July 23, 2021.
