Hey bub.
Although it hasn’t been too long since the last cinematic outing of the X-Men, it’s inevitable that they’ll soon join the Marvel Cinematic Universe following Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox. Marvel’s Kevin Feige previously addressed the issue, explaining that the studio is still debating how to reboot the mutants in a way that fits in with the rest of the established continuity. But since we didn’t get to see Hugh Jackman suit up in Wolverine’s classic yellow costume from the comics, many fans want to see Tom Hardy rock the outfit and Adamantium claws in the MCU.
An awesome new piece of fan art from Instagram user ‘jph_photoshop’ gives Tom Hardy the cowl we briefly glimpsed in Hugh Jackman’s The Wolverine. It also imagines what the rest of his suit could look like in the MCU. The ears might be a little over-the-top for the big screen, but Kevin Feige would likely figure out a way of making them work somehow. If Feige can bring a walking, talking raccoon into the MCU, then he can give Tom Hardy a Wolverine costume. Check out the artwork below.
What do you make of the Tom Hardy concept? Would you like to see the star as Wolverine in the MCU? Or should Marvel Studios leave Logan alone for a while? Let us know in the comments section!
Here is the official synopsis for Hugh Jackman’s last Wolverine film Logan:
In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.
Directed by James Mangold, Logan stars Hugh Jackman, Sir Patrick Stewart, Dafne Keen, Stephen Merchant, Richard E. Grant, Eriq LaSalle, Elizabeth Rodriguez, and Boyd Holbrook.
Logan is now available on Digital HD, Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding Tom Hardy, Wolverine’s future in the MCU and Hugh Jackman, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more video content!
