Tom Hardy Says His Favorite Parts Of ‘Venom’ Were Cut From Film

Realistically speaking, it’d probably be impossible to include every single frame shot for a film in its final form when it’s released in theaters, or even if said film received an alternate or director’s cut. Sometimes, not everything fits. Take Watchmen, for example. A solid film in its own right, but it’s bolstered by the additions in both the Director’s Cut and Ultimate Edition. But for today’s topic, we’re talking about Sony’s Venom, with Tom Hardy stepping into the role of Eddie Brock.

In a recent interview with Comics Explained, Tom Hardy and Venom co-star Riz Ahmed discussed a variety of topics in regards to their work in the industry, but at one point, the two were asked about their favorite parts from the Venom film. Hardy went on to explain that this film had scenes that didn’t make the final cut:

“They’re scenes that aren’t in this movie. There are, like, 30, 40 minutes worth of scenes that aren’t in this movie. All of them. Like mad puppeteering scenes, dark comedy scenes, they just never made it.”

With this in mind, if this ends up indeed being the case, would you want to see these favorite scenes of Tom Hardy’s that apparently won’t be in the theatrical version of Venom?
