Tom Hiddleston & Elizabeth Olsen Debate Loki/Scarlet Witch Fight

Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen have a lot in common, don’t they? Admittedly, maybe not as much as Olsen has in common with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, but think about it. Both Loki and the Scarlet Witch have mystical powers, and both Hiddleston and Olsen will be reprising their roles in their own, respective series on the Disney streaming service, whenever that arrives. Sheesh, if only Danny Rand had that kind of luck. But when it comes to buckling down and exchanging blows, which of the Marvel characters would win in a battle?

Well, this was the subject of discussion between Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen at the ACE Comic-Con in Chicago this past weekend. Well, consider their abilities. Scarlet Witch is a gifted product of von Strucker’s experiments. Totally not a mutant. At least, not right now. But if the opening of Captain America: Civil War was any indication, it’s that Wanda can have a difficult time controlling them when emotions are involved, as Olsen conceded during the discussion.

Plus, there’s the fact that Loki is, in fact, a god. And how do you kill a god? Well, going off of logic from Hercules, you turn them mortal. Or just have Thanos do the job, as was the case in Avengers: Infinity War. But as Hiddleston noted, when it comes to Loki, he doesn’t have an Infinity Stone as part of his core compared to the Scarlet Witch:

“I can’t control your fear, only my own. My point is that Scarlet Witch has one of the Infinity Stones almost as part of being and Loki has only ever wielded an Infinity Stone. But he is a god.”

While we’ve yet to see Loki and the Scarlet Witch exchange any words or even blows, and with Loki dead as of Infinity War, this is all merely speculation and conjecture when you take into account the varying power sets of the two Marvel characters. Plus, what circumstances could change when the two faced off?

Ultimately, it’s all just guessing at this point, but with the two getting their own series, maybe Loki and Scarlet Witch will have a change to face off in the future. Who do you think would win between the two? Let us know in the comments below.

Avengers: Infinity War is available now on Digital HD, 4K, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
