Tom Hiddleston Reveals Episode Count For His Disney Plus Loki Series

Avengers: Endgame star Tom Hiddleston has revealed the episode count for his highly-anticipated Disney Plus Loki series.

Tom Hiddleston’s Loki was among the first casualties of Avengers: Infinity War, but the fan-favorite character made a surprise appearance in the film’s follow-up, Endgame. In Endgame, Loki pops up in New York City when the Avengers travel back in time to acquire three of the Infinity Stones from the 2012 timeline. However, Tom Hiddleston’s character manages to steal the Space Stone and escapes.

At San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced that the upcoming Loki series would revolve around the 2012 version of Loki that escaped with the Space Stone. Now, Tom Hiddleston has revealed the episode count for the Disney Plus series. During an interview with MTV News, Tom Hiddleston mentioned that the series will consist of six episodes. He also said the following:

“I feel like I know him, I’ve been playing him for 10 years now, and that’s crazy to me. By the time it’s out, I’ll be 40. When I was cast I was 29, which is a great chunk of my life. Playing him, and playing him truthfully, but presenting him with new challenges which then have to change him in different ways is the most exciting aspect of it. You have his specific gifts, his intelligence, his treachery, his mischief, his magic, and then seeing him come up against more formidable opponents the like of which he has never seen or known.”

Earlier this summer, Tom Hiddleston mentioned that his Loki series is set to begin production early next year. Rick and Morty writer Michael Waldron will be the showrunner of the Disney Plus project. He’s also writing the pilot.

Tom Hiddleston’s Loki was last seen in Avengers: Endgame. Here is the official synopsis for the movie:

Avengers: Endgame is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD. Meanwhile, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki series is currently scheduled to premiere in the spring of 2021.
