Tom Holland Surprises Kid As Spider-Man, Is Told Batman a Better

As far as on screen interpretations are concerned, I think it is safe to say, Spider-Man has done quite well. We have never had a Spider-Man film as bad as Batman & Robin, but we have had a film as good as The Dark Knight, in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2. Every actor who has portrayed the iconic role has brought something rich, and honest to it. Tobey Maguire captured the boyish charms of the 1960s, while Andrew Garfield owned the angst commonly found in teenagers. Captain America: Civil War introduced us to a new Peter Parker in Tom Holland. Holland, who starred alongside Thor actor Chris Hemsworth in 2015’s In The Heart Of The Sea, was very new to a film of this magnitude. But, boy, did he do well.

In a new video uploaded by Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Homecoming co-star, Zendaya, the actress showcases a clip of Holland decked out in this Spidey costume as he comforts a child at a hospital. From the short video, you can tell how much Holland loves and cares for this character, and the people who it inspires. Funnily enough, the boy reveals that he actually likes Batman more than Spider-Man, too bad Ben Affleck wasn’t around for that one. What do you guys think? Do you love Tom Holland as Spider-Man, or will you be holding out for Homecoming to win you over? Personally, I have adored every interpretation of the character we have seen, from Maguire to Garfield to Holland. I think every version has represented the character I love so very well. But, hey, that is just me.
