Before landing the role of Spider-Man, Tom Holland already had an impressive career working with acclaimed filmmakers on projects such as The Impossible and In the Heat of the Sea. However, Tom Holland rose to even greater fame after making his first appearance as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War and reprising the role in four subsequent projects to date.
Tom Holland’s father, Dominic Holland, wrote a book titled Eclipsed that chronicles his son’s rise to fame and fans have taken issue with what they perceive to be the bitter tone of the book. However, others have noted that the book, written before Tom Holland was cast as Spider-Man, is intended to be satirical and was clearly written with love.
