'Spider-Man: Homecoming' star Tom Holland shares his reaction to the first trailer for the web slinger's first solo outing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

When the first trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming was released, most fans responded positively and anticipation for the web slinger’s first solo outing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe only grew stronger. One person who shared in the enthusiasm was star Tom Holland, who made his debut as the wall crawler in Captain America: Civil War. In an interview with HeyUGuys, Holland shared his own reaction to the trailer and the fan support that followed.

Holland said the fact that he is playing the iconic hero has not settled in his mind yet.

“Dude, I lost my mind…because it’s so strange to see Spider-Man and myself on the same screen. That still hasn’t sunk in yet.”

Holland expressed his appreciation for the support from fans.

“To see the trailer come out and have such a positive reaction was exactly what we needed, and we’re really proud and excited to show the fans.”

You can watch the entire interview with Tom Holland in the video below!

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

Directed by Jon Watts, the film stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Michael Chernus, Kenneth Choi, Hannibal Buress, Martin Starr, Michael Barbieri, Angourie Rice, Abraham Attah, Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released in theaters on July 7, 2017.
