Tom Holland Was Cut From ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’

During an interview with JOE, Tom Holland revealed he was originally going to make a cameo appearance in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Sony’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse delivered one of the most moving and thrilling cinematic depictions of the character, with many praising the animated film as the wall-crawler’s best feature to date. Of course, Into the Spider-Verse was also filled with Easter eggs and references paying tribute to nearly every incarnation of Spider-Man created since the web head debuted in Marvel comics.

Now, Spider-Man actor Tom Holland revealed he was originally going to make an appearance in Into the Spider-Verse before the scene in question was cut. According to Tom Holland, his cameo would have involved “another Peter Parker” in the background briefly greeting Miles Morales on the train:

“At one point I was supposed to be in it. Yeah, there was going to be another Peter Parker. It was a scene in a train station or something. It was going to be like an Easter egg. It was going to walk through the background and say like ‘hey kid’ or something. Never happened.”
