Tom Holland Says ‘Uncharted’ Movie Starts Filming Next Month

Tom Holland’s Uncharted movie will soon begin production as the actor has said that the upcoming video game adaptation will begin filming next month.

The upcoming Uncharted film with Tom Holland has had a very rocky production history. The film has seen several directors come and go with the latest being Bumblebee director Travis Knight. Knight apparently left the production of Tom Holland’s Uncharted film due to scheduling conflicts and Sony’s desire to have the movie shot before Tom Holland began work on Spider-Man 3. Since then, Venom director Ruben Fleischer has reportedly, been the front runner to direct the film.

If these reports on Ruben Fleischer are true, Sony will be putting him to work soon. While speaking to IGN at the world premiere of Pixar’s Onward, Tom Holland confirmed that the upcoming Uncharted film would be shooting in a month:

So yeah. We start shooting in four weeks.

What do you all make of this shooting schedule? Should Tom Holland’s Uncharted film push back it’s production so the new director can have the time to properly make it? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Based on the PlayStation video game series of the same name, the Uncharted film is set to chronicle the first encounter between Tom Holland’s Nathan Drake and the fortune seeker and businessman Victor Sullivan. The film is reportedly influenced by a sequence in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.

From a script written by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Rafe Judkins, Uncharted is being produced by Sony PlayStation Productions, with Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan producing alongside Charles Roven, Avi Arad, Alex Gartner, and Ari Arad. NaughtyDog is not involved with the project.

Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg’s Uncharted as it develops!
