Nathan Drake's big screen adventure will have to wait.
Since Tom Holland’s Uncharted finished production back in October, many fans of the video game series from publisher Naughty Dog were hoping that the first trailer for the action-adventure movie would debut very soon. Unfortunately Sony has pushed the film further back as the pandemic continues to disrupt the world, so it seems fans might have to wait a little longer for the first footage to arrive from the Dan Trachtenberg film.
The news comes soon after the next James Bond film, No Time To Die, was also pushed back until later this year. But as reported by Deadline, other titles like the upcoming Tom Holland adventure have been pushed further back to avoid clashing with Daniel Craig’s final outing as 007. Instead of arriving in October, Sony’s Uncharted will now debut on February 11th, 2022.

Based on the PlayStation video game series of the same name, the film is set to chronicle the first encounter between Tom Holland’s Nathan Drake and the fortune seeker and businessman Victor Sullivan. The film is reportedly influenced by a sequence in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.
Directed by Venom helmer Reuben Fleischer from a script written by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Rafe Judkins, Uncharted is being produced by Sony PlayStation Productions, with Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan producing alongside Charles Roven, Avi Arad, Alex Gartner, and Ari Arad.
Uncharted will be released in theaters on February 11th, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Tom Holland and Sony’s Uncharted and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more video content!
