Tom Holland Has A Valid Reason Why His Spider-Man Is Better Than Tobey Maguire’s

Spider-Man star Tom Holland has a surprisingly valid reason why his version is better than Tobey Maguire’s.

With multiple cinematic versions of Spider-Man to choose from, a constant debate always sends the internet into a flurry when trying to decide who was better. Tom Holland has now added fuel to the fire by dishing out a surprisingly solid argument to why his Spider-Man is better than Tobey Maguire’s. While the most obvious point is Tom Holland’s role within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the actor has a much more grounded reason against the Tobey Maguire version.

In a GQ video, Tom Holland briefly explains that because the Tobey Maguire films very quickly jumped through Spider-Man’s life, skipping ahead to him already being an established superhero, there was nowhere to grow. He also then got worried about annoying fans of the Tobey Maguire films and mentioned that they changed his life growing up. Read his quote and watch the video below.

“Because it makes me more interesting, I guess. It gives me more room to grow. If you start out a badass, there’s nowhere to go. I don’t know.”

So which Spider-Man do you prefer? Tom Holland or Tobey Maguire? Let us know in the comments.
