Spider-Man actor Tom Holland wants to see Peter Parker journey from boy to man in the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, as well as future movies.
In an interview with Collider, Holland talked about what he’s most excited to explore in the Homecoming sequel:
I will be on Spider-Man 2 about mid-July next year. I think the most interesting thing about a young man’s life is his journey from being a boy to a man, and imagine seeing that journey while having superpowers. That’s something I know I’m definitely excited to explore. I know Kevin [Feige] and the rest of the team are very excited to explore.
With Holland only being 21 years old, he has a chance to grow with the character and really make it his own. Seeing Spider-Man mature over the course of these films should be fun to watch.
Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, young Peter Parker (Tom Holland) returns home to live with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei). Under the watchful eye of mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), Parker starts to embrace his newfound identity as Spider-Man. He also tries to return to his normal daily routine — distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just a friendly neighborhood superhero. Peter must soon put his powers to the test when the evil Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges to threaten everything that he holds dear.
Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theaters July 7th.
