'The Sandman' has seemingly found its Dream.
Although production on Netflix’s The Sandman was originally set to begin before the pandemic caused havoc for the Film and TV industry, the series has discovered who will play the immortal being Dream in the live-action adaption of the legendary graphic novels from fan-favorite writer Neil Gaiman. Gaiman had previously explained that while work was ready to begin on Netflix’s The Sandman, the delay meant they could make the scripts even tighter than they already are.
But according to Collider, Far from the Madding Crowd and Velvet Buzzsaw star Tom Sturridge is in talks to play Dream in The Sandman after beating Merlin‘s Colin Morgan and Poldark‘s Tom York to the role. Fans of Gaiman’s work will no doubt be pleased to hear the news since production is set to begin in three weeks. James McAvoy recently voiced the character in The Sandman audiobook, which might be the perfect thing to listen to in order to get excited for the Netflix series.
