‘Aliens’ & ‘Twister’ Actor Bill Paxton Has Died

'Aliens' and 'Twister' actor Bill Paxton has died at the age of 61 due to complications in surgery. The actor was currently working on 'Training Day'.

Actor Bill Paxton has died at the age of 61 due to surgery complications on Saturday, February 25. What the surgery was for is unknown at this moment.

This is what Paxton’s family had to say regarding his death and career.

“It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Bill Paxton has passed away due to complications from surgery. Bill’s passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable.”

Paxton was working on the TV series Training Day prior to his death. The actor had a long career in Hollywood. He’s probably best known for films like AliensTwister, which he starred in with Helen Hunt, Titanic, and he also appeared on the TV show, Hatfields and McCoys, a series he took home an Emmy for. Paxton also had roles in Apollo 13 and Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. He even guest-starred on six episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. He played a man named John Garrett.

Although I loved him in Twister, one of my all-time favorite roles for him was in Disney’s Mighty Joe Young, opposite Charlize Theron.

Bill Paxton leaves behind his wife of thirty years, Louise Newbury, and two children.
