Arrow has been adding several new cast members for season five, and today is no different; Tyler Ritter has been cast in a recurring role for the show’s upcoming season.
Ritter will reportedly play Detective Malone, a new member of the Star City Police Department. This is likely in an attempt to replace Captain Lance (Paul Blackthorne) who left the city with Felicity’s mother last season. Blackthorne is however still a series regular, so it is unclear what role both Lance and Malone will play in the upcoming season of Arrow.
After promoting Echo Kellum to series regular, Josh Segarra has joined as a new district attorney and Chad L. Coleman has joined as a new villain. Ritter is best known for starring in The McCarthy’s, and has appeared on both NCIS, and Young and Hungry.
Arrow season five premiers Wednesday, October 5 at 8pm on the CW.
