Another day, another addition to the massive cast of Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man: Homecoming as Deadline reports that veteran actress Tyne Daly will be making an appearance in the movie. There’s no word on who she’ll play, but my best guess would be one of Peter Parker’s teachers at Midtown School of Science & Technology.
Daly joins the likes of Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Laura Harrier, Michael Barbieri, Abraham Attah, Kenneth Choi, Logan Marshall-Green, Martin Starr, Hannibal Buress, Bokeem Woodbine, Michael Mando, Selenis Leyva and many newcomers. Phew, that’s a big cast. The project is currently filming under the direction of Cop Car helmer Jon Watts in Atlanta, Georgia.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen numerous actors join the cast of the movie, which led to Watts jokingly addressing the matter on his personal Twitter page:
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but we know that Keaton will be playing The Vulture, who will be aided by another baddie (possibly The Tinkerer) portrayed by Marshall-Green. Directed by Jon Watts from a script by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein, Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters on July 7, 2017.
