A brand new casting call for the Sony-produced Venom has made its way online and is requesting actors to portray mercenaries in the upcoming film.
The news of the casting call comes courtesy of Omega Underground. The casting call is requesting actors to portray mercenary-esque characters. The call requests actors who are either male or female and between the ages of eighteen and forty. For actors who want to nab the roles, it’s expected that they have military and/or law enforcement experience.
The shooting for these characters will take place between October and February, which suggests that these roles will more than likely be lengthy. No further plot details have been given regarding Venom or the mercenaries, but it’s quite interesting to know that mercenaries will be featured in the film, which may signal that Eddie Brock is a mercenary himself.
Interestingly enough, the production title for the film is Antidote, which may signal that the character of Eddie Brock is trying to figure out an antidote to cure him of his symbiote.
The upcoming film will be a stand-alone film and will not cross-over with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.
Venom is set to star Tom Hardy and will be directed by Ruben Fleischer.
