Home Media Release Dates For Sony’s ‘Venom’ Revealed

Entertainment Weekly reports that Sony’s Venom will arrive on digital and home video formats in December, just in time for the holidays.

Sony’s Venom received mixed reviews from critics, but the film earned a strong fanbase with general audiences and recently reached the $822 million mark at the worldwide box office. Now, Venom will be available for digital release on December 11 and will be released on 4k Ultra HD/Blu-ray/DVD on December 18.

Special features will include deleted and extended scenes, featurettes, and a “Venom Mode” that provides information to viewers throughout the film using pop-ups.

Venom follows Eddie Brock as he attempts to revive his journalism career by investigating the Life Foundation only to come into with an alien symbiote that bonds with him, granting him powers and transforming him into the titular anti-hero.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer from a script written by Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg and Kelly Marcel, Venom stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott, Jenny Slate, Ron Cephas Jones, and Woody Harrelson.

Venom is now playing in theaters!
