Vin Diesel Says He Could Still Play Blackbolt In ‘Inhumans’ For Marvel

Vin Diesel has said that he could still play Black Bolt for a Marvel Inhumans film but it is up to the fans.

The history behind Marvel’s Inhumans is a bit of a bizarre one. The Inhumans film was originally supposed to be released on November 2nd, 2018 as part of Phase 3 for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This was apparently part of Marvel’s attempts to replace the X-Men with the Inhumans due to a then hostile relationship with 20th Century Fox.

As things worked out, Marvel’s Inhumans movie was canceled after a studio restructuring and was eventually made into an ABC series that was canceled after one season with Anson Mount taking over the role of Black Bolt. After the cancellation, rumors began to surface of an Inhumans reboot with Vin Diesel reportedly in talks to play Black Bolt. Vin Diesel, as we all know voices Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy but hasn’t entirely written off the role of Black Bolt.

In a recent interview with Comicbook.com, Vin Diesel was asked if a role as Black Bolt for Marvel was still possible. Vin Diesel then talked directly into the camera and said that it was up to the fans if he was going to play Black Bolt:

“It’s up to you guys. Let’s just say it’d be a real practical joke on Vin to give him a character that says three monosyllabic words and then follow up with another character that says nothing. Crazy? You saw that.”

What do you all make of Vin Diesel’s comments? Would you like to see Vin Diesel play Black Bolt for a new Inhumans film from Marvel? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Here is the official synopsis for Marvel’s Inhumans:

After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself.”

Marvel’s Inhumans stars Anson Mount, Serinda Swan, Iwan Rhoen, Ken Leung, Eme Ikwuakor, Isabelle Cornish, Mike Moh, Sonya Balmores, and Ellen Woglomas.
