Vin Diesel confirmed that even though he is the voice of Groot in Guardians Of The Galaxy, this doesn't keep him from playing another Marvel character.
While speaking with iO9, Vin Diesel confirmed that even though he is the voice of Groot in the Guardians Of The Galaxy films, this doesn’t keep him from appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in another role.
“I can totally be something [else] with Marvel. I think playing that role only makes Marvel that much more excited and me having my experience with Marvel, seeing how great they were, makes me more excited.”
Here’s the part that gets interesting.
“We’ve heard a lot of talk about Marvel wanting to have me play a character that doesn’t have my voice. So my voice is used for Groot and my presence is used for the other character.”
Sure, this could just be Vin Diesel trying to build some interest from the studio. Diesel is pretty well known for being very open about his upcoming projects. Could this also be the actor hinting that actual discussions have occurred and we could see him portraying the head of Marvel‘s Royal Family when they hit the big screens in 2019? If I had to put my money on it, I’d say there’s some truth to these comments. Let us know what you think about Diesel’s comments in the box below.
