Shortly after Netflix launched the acclaimed third season Daredevil, the streaming service made the surprising move to cancel the Marvel series. Since then, Kingpin actor Vincent D’Onofrio has been a staunch supporter of the fan campaings to save Daredevil and see the series move to a new platform.
However, the terms of Netflix’s partnership with Marvel Television prevent the Daredevil characters from appearing on a different platform for unknown amount of time, leaving the future of series and the likelihood of its revival in a state of uncertainty. In a post on his official Twitter account, Daredevil star Vincent D’Onofrio told fans that he believes it’s good to be open to what the future holds for Daredevil but that he still hopes the series can return with the original cast.

Here is the official synopsis for the third season of Daredevil:
Missing for months, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) reemerges a broken man, putting into question his future as both vigilante Daredevil and lawyer Matthew Murdock. But when his archenemy Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) is released from prison, Matt must choose between hiding from the world, or embracing his destiny as a hero.
