Since Daredevil‘s cancellation, numerous reports have come out possibly revealing Netflix’s controversial decision. A report from Deadline revealed the series still had a huge demand in its third season thanks to a data study. The most concrete reason as to why Netflix canceled such a popular show seems to be because of the cost of using a Marvel IP. Stars of the show have shared their disappointment since the news of cancellation and D’Onofrio responded to the recent study on Twitter writing:
Daredevil season 3 stars Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Wilson Bethel, Jay Ali, and Lesley Ann Warren.
Missing for months, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) reemerges a broken man, putting into question his future as both vigilante Daredevil and lawyer Matthew Murdock. But when his archenemy Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) is released from prison, Matt must choose between hiding from the world, or embracing his destiny as a hero.
Daredevil Season 3 is now streaming on Netflix.
