On January 4, the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director took to Twitter and said that he loves Moon Knight and that he has “a great idea for a movie” but that he doesn’t have any time for it. But Gunn has definitely spoken to Marvel about making it. Maybe in the near future, after he’s completely done post-production on the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel.
Vincent D’Onofrio who revealed on Twitter that if there was indeed a Moon Knight movie down the line, that Gunn should consider the actor. “Dude I’m in,” D’Onofrio said. Of course, getting this movie off the ground and into even pre-production would take a while, but perhaps with a well-known name in the TV comic book adaptation world, and one who’s worked with Marvel already, could get the project moving faster.
The vigilante Moon Knight has often been compared to Batman. But Moon Knight differs in comparison to DC’s Dark Knight in that his origins are much more mystical in nature. The vigilante, after completing his transformation, suffers from multiple personality disorder.
What do you think? Could Vincent D’Onofrio be in a potential Moon Knight movie? Who would he play? Sound off in the comments below!
