In what turned out to be Vincent D'Onofrio's first Comic-Con at Emerald City 2017, the actor spoke about his role as Kingpin in Daredevil.
“Wilson Fisk is just a ball of emotion – he can be a baby sometimes…but he can also be a monster.”
Vincent D’Onofrio then spoke about returning to TV for Daredevil, and what the project was like.
“When you do a streaming show, it’s like doing a giant film. It’s shot in a very cinematic way. And with companies like Netflix and Marvel, they really do take care. There are no slouches on those shows. Everyone is really top-notch and knows what they’re doing.”
Vincent D’Onofrio also sang praises for both showrunner Steven S. DeKnight, and Daredevil himself, Charlie Cox, saying they helped elevate the show. He also spoke about his first comic-con experience with the following:
“When you’re working, you know that people enjoy what you do, but you think of them as a mass of people. When you’re here, you get to see the individual people, and you hear their stories and how they’re into what you do, and it individualizes it for you and makes you feel better about the job you’re doing. I really appreciate it.”
