Kingpin Actor Vincent D’Onofrio Wants To Work With ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Director Taika Waititi

With the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a seemingly unflinching high-note and Marvel TV going through a rough patch, talent all over Marvel related franchises may be wondering what’s next. In this regard, Kingpin actor Vincent D’Onofrio recently expressed he would like to work with Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi. In a tweet he sent out to the filmmaker, D’Onforio fans out and calls for a team up. Check it out:

Waititi even responded with a resounding HELL YES! (exciting everyone in the process):

These tweets come out some weeks after Marvel and Netflix canceled the Daredevil series. Disney is gearing up to launch their own streaming service, Disney+ and maybe because they want to focus on new content for it. Although we won’t be seeing anything new with the canceled Netflix heroes, presumably until after 2020. Luke Cage and Iron Fist were also canceled in this regard and The Punisher and Jessica Jones may see the same fate after their next season’s debut on Netflix later in 2019.

Vincent D’Onofrio has received high praise from critics and fans alike for his portrayal as Wilson Fisk aka The Kingpin and for being a formidable foe for the Man Without Fear and his allies. It would be outstanding to see D’Onofrio move into the MCU as Fisk and even more so see Taika Waititi helm another Marvel movie with him in it. Waititi was also recognized by critics and fans by revitalizing the Thor franchise and giving it another color, resembling what James Gunn did with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Nonetheless, we don’t see that happening in the future due to contracting issues between MCU and Marvel TV series.

Would you like to see the Kingpin in the MCU? We know we would! Share your thoughts below!
