‘Black Panther’: Get Your First Look At Wakanda In Concept Art

In case you have been living under a rock for the last year, Black Panther is real. Following his incredible debut in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, Chadwick Boseman is set to don the iconic costume once more in next February’s Black Panther. The upcoming film will be radically different from most Marvel Studios/MCU adventures; not only is the film set in Africa, but it also features one of the most talented casts to ever grace a superhero film. Creed‘s Ryan Coogler is set to helm the project, which will star Michael B. Jordan as the main antagonist, Erik Kilmonger, Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Florence Kasumba, Sterling K. Brown, and Andy Serkis.

In addition to the awesome art from this November’s Thor Ragnarok, we have a pretty amazing look at the world Coogler and his team are developing. After a handful of references and hints in the MCU so far, we have never had a really good look at Black Panther’s home of Wakanda. You can check out some badass concept art below, which gives a nice new look at Panther’s suit, as well as the place he calls home.

So, not too bad huh? Of course, we will have to wait until the first trailer comes out to see how incredible Wakanda really looks, but from the concept art, we can expect a pretty beautiful movie. Hopefully Coogler is given space and range to explore the ideas and themes he hopes to, as Black Panther has potential to not only become one of Marvel’s best, but it could change the superhero movie game, forever. Black Panther follows T’Challa who, after the events of Captain America: Civil War, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.

Black Panther hits theatres everywhere on February 18th, 2018.
