‘The Walking Dead’ EP On A Possible Future Glenn Appearance

The Walking Dead showrunner Scott M. Gimple on the possibility of Steven Yuen's Glenn making another appearance on the show.

Warning: this article features spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 7, particularly the Season Premiere and the Season Finale…

Sunday’s season finale of The Walking Dead featured a surprise appearance from Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) in flashbacks to events that Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) was recalling in her final living moments. This is not the first time that a deceased character has made an appearance on the show — we’ve seen Sarah Wayne Callies’ Lori Grimes and even Jon Bernthal’s Shane make cameo appearances well after their characters’ demise — and according to executive producer and showrunner Scott M. Gimple, this might not be the last time we see it either.

Thanks to TV Line, we now know that the chances of us seeing Steven Yeun’s Glenn make a similar appearance in the future are actually “pretty good.” Gimple says that as we get closer to the birth of Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Glenn’s child, he’s not ruling out a flashback or a vision of everyone’s favorite former pizza delivery boy turned badass:

“[It’s] certainly possible. I’d be silly to say it isn’t.”

However, Gimple also stated that if a Glenn appearances was tied to the birth of his and Maggie’s child, we might have to wait quite a while before we see him again:

“She might not be that close. Things have been moving pretty quickly, but not a lot of time has passed.”

The Walking Dead will return for its eighth season this fall on AMC.

So, what say you, readers? Would you like to see Glenn make another appearance on the show? What other deceased character would you like to see make a similar cameo appearance in an upcoming season of the show?
