Describing the impending showdown as “epic”, Reedus offered a small teases of what fans can expect.
“There are a bunch of groups, and like everything on this show, everything comes to a head eventually. There are definitely scenes shot that are as epic and as large.”
Reedus had one word to describe the confrontation.
“It’s crazy.”
Of course, with official word that several groups will cross paths comes speculation that Reedus’ character, Daryl Dixon, will meet King Ezekiel and his pet tiger, Shiva. Reedus would not confirm or deny the speculation, but expressed his admiration for how Shiva is brought from the pages of the comic to the television screen.
“I think it’s been basically awe. It’s so well done and it’s such a complicated thing to do. I think it’s always a little odd, I guess, for whoever’s doing that, but when you see it put together, and you see how much work it takes to do that, it’s pretty f—ing amazing, to be honest. It’s kind of mind-blowing.”
Reedus is not the only actor to share his excitement for the upcoming slate of episodes. Andrew Lincoln previously teased a “jig” worthy moment that will occur in the season finale.
The Walking Dead returns with new episodes on February 12, 2017 on AMC.
