‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Comic-Con Trailer Released

The first official trailer for the seventh season of AMC’s The Walking Dead has finally arrived online following its debut at San Diego Comic-Con.

The trailer is packed with footage from the previous seasons, but there’s still plenty of footage from season seven. There are no new shots of Rick, Daryl, Glenn, Abraham and the rest of the characters who were captured by the saviors in the season six finale, but we do get to see a lot of footage of Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan, who looks absolutely fantastic in the role.

We also get our first official look at The Kingdom and King Ezekiel alongside his pet tiger, Shiva. Ezekiel will be played by Khary Payton, who’s best known for voicing Cyborg in Teen Titans and Aqualad in Young Justice.

You can watch the trailer below.

During the panel, moderator Chris Hardwick announced that the series will return on Sunday, October 23. The season seven premiere will be directed by Greg Nicotero, who also directed the season six finale. The episode was written by Scott M. Gimple.
